Operation Christmas Child
11/19/16
ERKC had volunteered with Operation Christmas Child in order to volunteer time to help pack boxes of gifts for children in less fortunate areas. The experience, denoted by VP Emily Chan, was 'extremely cute and impressive'. The overall goal of the event was to pack at least 700 boxes. Unsurprisingly enough, the event had packed upwards of 1000 boxes that night with our assistance.
Fall Rally
11/12/16
The day of Fall Rally was finally met. The whole division had gathered at hoover highschool to get dropped off. The division had the first spirit session of the day. Sadly, the staffing at six flags was less than adequate causing the majority of the members to be late to the session. Although we cheered as much as possible, our division did not make it past the first round. The winner of the session was undoubtably the abnormally large 16 east koalas. The remainder of the day was left to six flags fun as well as the regular Fall Rally festivities. Free hugs, 'how do you feel's, and spirit battles were all promptly met outside of the theater. In the end D03S had a blast and concluded another successful rally.

DTLA - On Sunday, region 7 had all come together to participate in the 2016 aids walk. Many members from Duck Splash had come to this event the next day. Members had the opportunity to interact and meet other people in the rest of the division as well as our region. The walk was a total of 10 kilometers ( 6 miles ). The weather was nearly perfect with great coverage allowing a pleasant walk that last for approximately 4 hours. The two events that were held this weekend allowed for the majority of our members to reach their hour requirements for FRS.
Duck Splash
10/22/16
Verdugo Park - One of the most iconic of weekends had commenced once again with the duck splash community festival. Our club pulled the majority of the reigns at this event by managing 5 of the game booths at the event. The extensive time frame allowed for a great opportunity for our members to net in some hours. The service had included our members monitoring bounce houses, managing petting zoos, and running the arts and crafts booth. The other volunteers at the event helped give our members a bit of perspective on how to serve the community after high school. For example, a service fraternity had demonstrated a similar community presence compared to key club.
RTC
10/8/16
All Nation's Church - Region 7 hosted, after a worth while wait, the 2016 Region Training Conference. The duration of RTC included various workshops hosted by some of our own members, a Disney themed reunion lunch, and a new section of RTC in the form of table topics. The whole region was informed on current projects as well as the new expectations and responsibilities regarding board and regular members. Overall the event was sufficiently conducted and left region 7 even more grateful towards all nations church for allowing us to host our second training conference of the term.
Spaghetti Dinner
10/5/16
Women's 20th Century Club - ERKC had hosted their annual spaghetti dinner to raise funds for fall rally. Spaghetti dinner, as usual featured a talent show wherein the contestants provided entertainment for the patrons. The night was filled with laughs and eagle spirit. The fundraiser went outstandingly well. We had netted around $700. We used half of that to lower the FRS ticket cost of our first 30 members by $10 to $25.

Oktoberfest
9/26/16
This event was a festival volunteer event at Solheim. ERKC joined with Hoover once again to help out at the German themed festival. The shifts provided between the schools were set up for eagle rock and 1 out of 2 shifts in the evening per club. Although the event was rather long and had shifts in order to alleviate the volunteers, nearly all members ignored the shifts due to the pleasure experienced while serving. Our volunteers had worked an assembly line of food that was sold at the festival. We also had worked on the ticket and drink booth. Overall the festival was really fun and brought in new members who had a good time.
PTP rollerskating night
9/23/16
On this Friday, Divison 3 south again hosted a ptp fundraiser. This time the event was hosted at moonlight roller way. Although the event was well organized, it could have used more advertisement. When social media was blasted with the flyer, it was less than a week from the event resulting in not that many people being able to go. However, for those that did, they got to bond more with the family that will become 3 south.
Bicycle packing
9/11/16
The service for this event included the moving and organizing of bicycles. Not many members came to this event due to the board being scatterred due to familial relations. The members who did attend, such as Brian Adonis, were noted for their valor.
York Blvd. Clean Up
9/10/16
The York Clean Up was amazing!! We were able to help a different community clean their streets. Cleaning the street was pretty tiring because it was a hot day.
It felt nice to help a different community clean their area. After the Clean-Up, it was shocking to see how much people litter the streets. When you have trash just hold it until you see a trash can because keeping the street is important. I would definitely do the Clean Up again!!
