Fellow eagles, on behalf of all of board, we implore you to welcome the new term with open arms and dedicated service. This term has been a truly transformative year wherein our club has grown into an even stronger family. In the Upcoming term expect no less from your future officers. While it is apparent that all of ERKC will work to serve our community, our new board elects and future leaders will continue to work to serve you.
February Recognition!!
Member of the MonthAshley Li and Stephanie MorganWe have chosen these two lovely ladies as our members of the month because they have demonstrated their clear dedication to Key Club International. We understand that it’s unusual to have two members of the month, but, after tough deliberation, it is only right to openly appreciate these two ladies. They go to every single one of the events that they can and they also get more people to go as well. Their happy and care-free attitudes help members at events feel more comfortable. These two girls are going to do wonders and we hope to see these two girls prosper in the next term!

Officer of the MonthEmily ChanI have chosen Emily Chan as our Member of the month for the month of February. We can see that she is demonstrating all the Key Club core values as she is our president elect. I wish her the best in luck in pushing new and improved systems as the term starts up in April. This month she has taken on more responsibilities by reminding her fellow board members to turn in submissions early bird and by taking initiations to help our current president out especially with the preparations for District Convention. Emily creates a comfortable environment for her members and does her best to get to know the other members of Eagle Rock High School Key Club. She is currently coming up with new ways for the officers to be more involved with the general members and does her best to get new members to be a part of Key Club International next term. She is learning how to lead meetings, communicate well with the Kiwanis, and get her training in the next couple weeks. Oh, did I mention that she applied for Distinguished Vice President, so I hope that she gets this award, because I believe that she deserves this, especially after all the work that she out into this club.

Member of the MonthAnthony VidaWe have chosen Anthony Vida as our member of the month for the month of December because we have constantly seen him grow in his love for Key Club. In his short time as a member, we have personally watched him love service and spirit. We have watched him cheer at the top of his lungs, showcase his leadership skills in leading his peers to attend more and more service events, and illustrate his passion for Key Club by showing interest in leadership positions and our upcoming District Convention of 2017! WE cannot wait to see what Key Club has in store for him.
|
Officer of the MonthGisselle Gutierrez We have chosen Gisselle Gutierrez as our Officer of the Month for the month of December. We have watched Gisselle demonstrate her love for Key Club as our term comes to a slow end. With presidential elections coming up, she has come to realize that she will have to give birth soon. With that said, Gisselle has definitely stepped up, learned from her mistakes, and rose to the opportunity now that DCON is coming up. We see her constant planning, her constant reach for help when she knows she can’t handle it on her own, and her constant questions to get input from the board. As her vice presidents, we would like to say how amazing we think she is doing and we cannot wait to see how Gisselle will continue to influence new key clubbers. We love our president!

November Recognition
Member of the MonthRyan Sumadsad We have chosen Ryan Sumadsad as our member of the month for November because Ryan has shown that he is dedicated to Key Club in these past years. We see Ryan at training conferences, all the service events he could attend, and yelling at the top of his lungs at fall rally. Ryan has one of the highest service hours in our club, striving and aiming for awards at District Convention. Being that Ryan has always been passionate about Key Club, I cannot wait to see what he will do next term, and how he will continue this passion of his.

Officer of the MonthCharlize Ea We have chosen Charlize Ea as our Officer of the Month for the month of November. Along with being dedicated to our schools’ basketball team, Charlize has stepped up and completed everything on time. She initiates small projects and fundraisers that will help us raise money for District Convention 2017. She also continues to finish up the MUC, while adding new members as she receives those receipts. Her position, treasurer, is difficult and I do not think anyone knows how much work being treasurer is, whilst collecting money, arranging fundraising events, filling up the MUC, and fulfilling her duties as our club’s treasurer. She also communicates well and helps our president in every way she can. We cannot wait to see what she is going to do in the future.

Member of the MonthAthicha DechwatanaWe have chosen Athicha Dechawatana as our Member of the Month for the month of September. In every general meeting, Athicha shows her generosity and kindness by asking the board if we ever need any help in completing anything last minute. She has been super reliable and she knows her limits. We don’t appreciate her enough. During every general meeting, she is sitting quietly, listening to the announcements, participating when we are teaching the cheer of the month, and attending all the events that she can commit to. We know that you will see this firing spirit at fall rally! She is putting in the hours and does as many of things she can to lend a helping hand to the board that needs it, even though she is not a board member. She goes above and beyond what is asked of a member and clearly demonstrates her commitment to Key Club International through her actions.

Officer of the MonthTrishabelle ManzanoWe have chosen Trishabelle Manzano for Officer of the Month for the month of September because we have clearly seen her at work. With college applications, ACT and SAT tests coming up, and senior activities, we are still amazed at how she is juggling all. As Fundraising Coordinator for Division 3 South, Historian for our home club, as well as Senior Class President, we are pleased to say that she is doing it all. She completes her tasks on time, and is adequately communicating to the club how much money we want to present at Fall Rally South this upcoming November for PTP. She keeps us on top of fundraisers and communicates very well with us on when to turn in papers, which day is the best day to have that fundraiser, or little details like how to work with those people since she’s probably done so already. We appreciate Trishabelle, and do not take advantage of her whatsoever! THANK YOU TRISHABELLE!

Katy continues to put countless hours in for Key Club International while juggling the IB Diploma Programme. We all know Katy with the smiling face, nice personality, and approachable person. She is one of our members whom everyone feels welcome to talk to and communicate with her to start amazing friendships, while serving together. Katy shows us that she loves key club and is continuing to make her last year in key club a great one.

Officer of the MonthNivram CastroI have chosen Nivram Castro for our Officer of the Month for the month of August because as school has approached us quickly again, he continues to aspire me in balancing his work habits, taking care of his household responsibilities, and acting as our current spirit coordinator. While completely all if not more than his commitments, we have seen his dedication to Key Club grow more and more. While helping to aid our president, Nivram thinks outside of the box and continues to think about other ways to complete our goals, one being, “club of the year”. Nivram has stepped up to the plate in acting as Vice President by completing submissions a week before early bird, attending ALL meetings, and contributing new ideas to keep this club going and fresh.
